I've lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years and I love this place. Parking can be challenging on weekends but it's worth the effort. Omelets are big and satisfying. I like my bacon or sausage crispy and they are both grilled nicely. Oh those home fries! Generous portion of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside potatoes. I don't eat bread so the ladies always give me fruit instead. I've noticed how the staff engage with their customers. It's like walking into "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. I'm sitting here in a Monday morning enjoying a satisfying breakfast and a big old mug of coffee! They have outside seating and always have a bowl of water for their canine customer Ms who accompany their hoomans! They have individual tables, but also a big long communal table. Sitting at these tables I can enjoy a great meal and get to know my neighbors. Back to my coffee...

Love this place such an amazing family that runs it they'll treat you like family! They will also make you Mr food how ever you want it! Love them have a mimosa! I go as much as I can

One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. The Diggery Inn has everything you need for an amazing meal at a reasonable price. These hard working lady's provide a comfortable, inviting and friendly place to recharge and relax and refuel. Doug's Signature was my latest find on the menu. It includes Two Poached Eggs and Chorizo on Toast or English Muffin. Matt says check this place out!

Once upon a time, when Oakland was my home, this charming breakfast spot held the title of my absolute favorite. Despite a sea of closer options, the allure of this place was irresistible, compelling me to embrace the drive. My go-to dish was their omelette--exceptionally tasty and generously portioned, often leaving me satisfyingly full or with a delightful parcel of leftovers. Its allure was so strong that exploring beyond it on the menu rarely crossed my mind, though the sandwiches always caught my eye with their tempting appearance. The cozy size of the seating area meant timing our visits wisely to dodge the crowds, adding a quaint touch to the dining experience. The service here was noteworthy; our servers exuded dedication, frequently checking in to ensure our meal was enjoyable and our needs were met. My current distance from this beloved spot has grown, yet the thought of a dedicated journey back is very much alive in my plans.

So delicious! They always come through when craving a hearty delicious breakfast. Definitely a neighborhood staple that I very much appreciate! Usually always order to pick up but the inside is bright with large windows & clean and owners and staff are there are always so nice! A great place to meet a friend and grab lunch and a beer and sit outside as well! Good people watching loc as well. Thanks guys!

I've lived 5 minutes away from the Diggery for my entire life, yet I'd never gone until the other day when my friend and I went to breakfast. I was blown away with the service and quality of food! The servers were quick, attentive, kind, and polite. The restaurant had very few other patrons, so we got top notch service. It was quiet and toasty; great for a good catch-up visit, or chill morning meal. I ordered the 2 pancake, 2 egg, 2 sausage combo. It was delicious and a large quantity of food for a great price. The ladies working frequently asked if we wanted coffee refills, and then sent us off very warmly, waving out the window, when we were done. It was a delightful experience and I highly recommend this sweet neighborhood gem. I'll certainly come back again and again!
